No FTPS Support
Been a user of flow for quite a few years and love the the workflow aspects of remote editing of files, etc. Used it quite a bit for SFTP to *nix servers, and it’s worked great. But I’ve recently found that it does not support FTPS. Their website states that ‘We haven’t seen much real-world demand for FTPS/FTPES, so we recommend SFTP for securie connections to your server.’
That stance is all well and good if you control or own the server you’re connecting to securely. But for various clients at the company I now consult for, FTPS support is crucial for transmitting secure content. They’re enforcing TLS on FTP connections and there is no SFTP or opportunistic plain FTP support.
It works well for what it’s designed for (uploading files over FTP or SFTP), but is not a well-rounded client for all file transfer needs because of the lack of support for FTPS (FTP over TLS).
Flow developers: if you’re looking for some ‘real-world demand for FTPS’, this is it.
Thank you!
